Ingredients
  • 1pound bacon, cut into 1-2 inch pieces (The heart attack part)
  • 1 onion, cut into strips from top to bottom
  • 1 package of fresh mushrooms, sliced or whole
  • Venison chops or steaks (as much as you want)
  • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste

Directions
  • Brown bacon in a large skillet.  When the bacon is about half done, add the onions and mushrooms.  
  • When all is almost done add the venison and cook to your liking.
  • You can put the salt, pepper and garlic powder directly on the venison or in the whole dish while
    cooking.  Or use any you may enjoy.
  • I never drain the bacon grease while cooking, but when the dish is done it is placed on a platter without
    the grease.
  • This can be served with any side dish.  Plus, we always like to have garlic bread with it.  The Texas toast
    kind.
